What is EasiCat?
EasiCat
is the library system’s shared automated catalog and circulation system. It
is one list of all the items
owned by the bookmobile, the 13 public libraries in Ozaukee and
Sheboygan Counties, and Lakeland
College. Each library has independent circulation policies and
procedures.
When did it arrive?
During 2001, all of the libraries converted their catalogs to one
shared automation system, EasiCat. Lakeland College was added to
EasiCat
in 2002. In 2008, EasiCat got a new look and is run by the software of
Polaris. Polaris is headquartered in Syracuse,
New York and has provided library automation for 30 years.
Where
is EasiCat?
You are able to look at the new catalog at each library and also
at home, school, or work by using the Internet or just click on this link:
EasiCat.
How do I use EasiCat?
It is easy to check if a library owns an item you would like. Author,
title and other keyword searches are available. Click the "Place
request" on the screen. Enter
your library card number and your password, the last four digits of your
phone number. Then just determine the best location for you to pick
up the item. If you have difficulties using EasiCat
contact your local
public library or the
bookmobile staff .
Does
EasiCat only list library materials?
EasiCat will also contain links to electronic books and databases and
related websites
